We were just poking around the waterfront when we came upon this museum. We ended up spending several very enjoyable hours in the building and ships.

The museum itself was fun and had enough hands-on exhibitions to keep us busy. Our grandson was disappointed when he realized the submarine was not a "ride." He quickly recovered and just loved both the submarine and the vintage ship adjacent to it. You have to be pretty fit and agile to visit the submarine.

We only had less than an hour as it closed at 5pm. We paid the $32 for 2 and went right outside and did the self guided tour of the submarine and destroyer that is in the water, pretty cool. Then went back into the museum and toured till it closed. I wish we had more time to see more of the inside of the museum but it was the end of an already busy day and didn't mind it at all. Take the time though, lots of history of the river and the boats that work it, pretty cool. Worth the money even if we were there for 45 mins.

We did not go into the museum itself but paid to tour the submarine and WW1 war ship. This was great. It was fantastic to see how the crew lived on an old submarine. Very nice and educational.

Worth a visit learned about maritime on the Delaware. Gave a nice history. Some nice artifacts and great models of ships. Had a section on slavery which was moving. Not a big museum but you could spend time reading. Didn't do the boats that come with admission.
