The rooms were nicely decorated. I was on the 11th floor facing the river for a great sunrise each AM. Room wasn't serviced one day I was there, but that didn't bother me too much. Short walk to anywhere from this hotel. Would stay again.

So pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff were among the nicest and most accommodating that I have ever encountered. They have us a super warm greeting upon arrival, were able to meet our accommodation needs, and just appeared happy to serve. Rooms newly renovated and comfortable, and location very central. Thank you to all for a wonderful stay!

Overnight stay with our two young children on a weekend trip exploring Philadelphia. The hotel is in a beautiful 1920s building, so has plenty of charm and great architecture. Our room was on the 9th floor and had two queen beds - described as "new renovated". It was clean and comfortable and the children loved the art deco touches and "cool" prints of Benjamin Franklin. They also liked the little pictures of local historical figures on every room number in the hallways. The room was a decent size for a hotel in a city center, especially for just one over night stay. The staff were efficient, friendly and knowledgeable about their city. The restaurant had comfy booths and good service for an early evening drink - but was pricey. It's a great location if you want to be in the city center - next to City Hall, across from the Convention Center, a few blocks from Reading Terminal Market and walking distance to Independence Hall. Some downsides: the hotel is in a part of town where I would not want to be hanging out late at night. We had some trouble with the remote for the TV and the track for the blackout curtain was broken. The hotel's parking is expensive, so I found a coupon online for a lot about a block away for 50% less. Bottom line: nice hotel with charm in a central location with great service and amenities. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 days/3 nights on a recent trip to Philly. The hotel rooms are recently updated and the complimentary Internet was extremely fast with no issues. We did early check-in through the Marriott app and were able to access our room when we arrived at 11am. The hotel offers a restaurant which we used for dessert cravings. It was good and reasonably priced for a hotel in Philly.

The neighboring rooms are quiet and the only thing we heard was the squeak of a faucet turning on, otherwise, absolute silence. The downside was the amount of noise outside the hotel. Try to request an inner room (odd numbered) so you don't face the street. Sirens of police cars, fire engines, motorcycles and other noises could be heard easily in our room during the day. There were some at night, but not as bad.

Hotel staff was very friendly and assisted us with any questions or arranging for our car to be brought up. They couldn't have been nicer!

Room tip: Inner section of rooms, away from the street side

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown. We are delighted to know you enjoyed your time with us and that you were impressed with the service provided by our staff. However, I am sorry for the noise issue you experienced during your visit. Street noise is common in the downtown area, but we do our best to honor special requests for a quieter room when the reservation is made. The Courtyard Philadelphia Downton is a very nice hotel in the center of Philadelphia. We stayed there for two nights during a college tour trip in Philly. The hotel seems to be in an historic building due to the grand lobby with the high vaulted ceilings...yet the rooms are very modern, with updated conveniences. While there is no room service, there is a "order to go" service that allows you to place an order in the restaurant and pick it up when it's done.

There is a nice size fitness center on the second floor with lots of treadmills and elipicals.

The hotel is a block away from the Reading Terminal Market...a must stop for visitors to Philly.
