Mammoth Mountain RV Park

Nice amenities, fair prices. shuttle can pick you up right in front of the RV sign and go all the way to the village or main lodge. Really convenient. Only have experienced during winter time.
Sometimes the Jacuzzi gets a little dirty, like you don't feel relaxing there, i think is the only down for the place. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: not a holtel

Spent 2 nights with our travel trailer here in May. If you reserve a spot with electric, cable, water.... be forewarned that most sites have the connections on the wrong side of where your travel trailer actual connections exist. Not well planned or designed. You can try to work a move to an appropriate site that works, but the front office staff is really difficult, not willing to help, and you'll need to push a bit. The facilities are clean, but showers only run for 30 seconds at a time, so you won't get a hot shower, but if you keep restarting the shower about 20 times you can get clean. Again.... this was not well thought out. Finally, I was surprised and disappointed the site was not cleaned and ready when we arrived (well after the specified check-in time). The fire ring was over flowing with branches and highly flammable debris all over. I am pretty sure if we had a campfire it would have quickly spread throughout the entire campground very quickly. Another example of poor planning and management.

We came at the end of their winter season so we could ski Mammoth Mountain. They maintain part of the park through the winter, basically the paved area that is easy to plow. They offered 30 amp power but no septic or water at each site, though they have a dump station with water available all the time. The bathrooms and showers were warm and had endless hot water, very nice! The sites were open but we found one with a nice pine tree for aesthetics. While we were there they turned on the water, so we could refill our water tank which was getting pretty low after 5 days. There are lots of days walks in the area and the town is fun. Mammoth Mountain is awesome.

Our stay was last minute and we had no trouble getting two powered RV sites next to each other for 2 nights, we were on the left side of the park (closest to town) and didn't find it cramped at all. Plenty of free sites around us and privacy with the trees.
Facilities were great, we used the fire pit, camp tables, shower blocks and the kids loved the pool and spa.
We bought our firewood (and a few cute little souvenirs) at a decent price from the park reception and found all the staff to be lovely and helpful. We even walked in to town for dinner one night.
Mammoth Lakes is such a beautiful place and in June we were able to enjoy warm sunny days whilst the kids playing in the roadside snow!

We expected this park to be active and a bit congested, but it is not the "parking lot" that we expected. The full-hook-ups are under the pines on dirt, spacing is adequate for privacy. There are restrooms and showers at both ends of the full-hook-ups. The restrooms are clean. One has individual co-ed stalls with doors that lock, the other is more locker-room style but is designated one for women the other for men. There are two laundry room areas.
Although right on Hwy. 203 the campsites are quiet.
The staff is adequately friendly and helpful in person, they rarely answer their phone, but will call-back.

Room Tip: Any of the spaces away from the road seem good.
