I grew up with a grandmother from Germany & have not been able to find a restaurant previously that matched her authentic German food. We have tried the sauerbraten, , the pork shank & the schnitzel at this restaurant. All were excellent & the red cabbage was outstanding. The selection of beer on tap was also very good. Our only disappointment was that they did not have roulade either time, so we were not able to try the sampler. The atmosphere, staff, food presentation were all pleasant. We have been there twice & will definitely go again.

Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Tried numerous times to get in but always came a bit late and the place was packed, This time, we planned ahead and got in before the lunch crowd. Great selection of food to choose from, staff was very friendly and efficient. Will plan to go again

My wife and I meet another “snowbird” couple 3 or 4 times every winter at Edelweiss. We usually go on Wednesday night when they have German music. Small restaurant but will take large parties. The food and beer are terrific. Try the Schnitzel sampler with the different sauces. Waitstaff makes you feel like you are eating in someone’s home. Can’t wait until we go back in November.

After driving by this restaurant for several years, on a recent Sunday we decided to give Edelweiss a try. We are now on our third consecutive Sunday Brunch. The food is first rate, authentic, delicious and consistent. Kudos to the chef for putting out a superior product. If it's possible for a food experience to achieve a higher level of excellence as a result of service, our server Cory achieved that very goal. Being a veteran of the food industry it nice to see an owner that understand that the back of the houses success is reliant on the front of the houses performance. Cody was superb. Lastly the music performance was so good, I felt compelled to ask for a CD. A PERFECT RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE.

My husband and I were visiting friends in Bradenton, and since we both love German food, decided to visit this establishment for dinner. It is a small restaurant, so we made reservations. It was quite busy but, after a short wait, we were seated by staff dressed in German outfits. There was an older gentlemen, with a fabulous German accent, playing traditional songs on an accordion and doing some low-key interactions w/the diners. It was a nice touch and did not detract from the dining experience. The menu was quite extensive, with starters, soups, salads and many main courses to choose from. My husband and I chose the beef roulade, with red cabbage and spaetzle, and we both enjoyed it. There were other traditional menu items also, such as sauerbraten, goulash, and many different schnitzels and sausages. Dessert was offered and sounded wonderful, but we were just too full. There was also a small bar, adjacent to the dining area, that featured German beers in addition to the regular fare. All in all, a great place to try while in Bradenton!
