The food was typical pub food. It was good and my sandwich was hot. The service was excellent. An OK to even take children.

We were looking forward to visiting this brewery/restaurant in Dayton and were not disappointed. The atmosphere is terrific; although only four years old, it is meant to reflect a typical brewery of 1850 in the region. It is the only brewery in the country using woodfires to brew and we had a very enlightening conversation with the brewmaster about the different styles on offer. We enjoyed a flight of beers and then settled on a large glass each. The beer styles are quite interesting, using ingredients such as rye. Food is pub-type fare and very good. Service was prompt and attentive. Recommended for a unique experience!

I really liked the service and hamburgers they served. I also liked the beer they served and the fun atmosphere. The waitresses were dressed in prairie attire and they had a beautiful back porch to sit in.

The family, seven of us, had dinner there last Saturday, Sep 1st. The interior design is old style and creates the atmosphere that you have stepped back in time. Everyone liked it. The food was excellent with one exception. Great appetizers, sauerkraut balls and pretzels, the wurst plate and schnitzel were superb. The only disappointment was the fish dish. It was way too salty, I suspect someone messed up in the kitchen. Of course, the beer was good with a decent selection of their brews and other craft beers. We will dine there again, but skip the fish.

Stopped in at the Carillon Brewing co while going for a visit to the park Museum next store. Had the wurst platter for lunch. Was a whole lot for lunch but was good. Came with two sides... got the German potato salad and red cabbage. All was hot and good service was quick and attentive. This is a location in an old building that also gives some historical perspective for its location. Good location for special occasions or just a good meal.
