Beautiful river views. Most rooms, including mine, have a small private balcony.
The room was in (mostly) good condition (see below) and the bed was comfortable.
The bathroom door was in very poor shape and needs replacement.
The interior walls are VERY thin. I was kept up by the couple next door who were having a QUIET conversation, they might as well have been in my room.
On the second morning of my three-night stay, I found the mini-fridge full of water, and an area of the carpet around it saturated. Turns out that the maid had defrosted the fridge but failed to turn it back on. The response was, IMHO, unsatisfactory.
No complementary breakfast.
My main beef is with the poor value. Well, other than a few $$$ B&Bs this is the only game in town, and the only decent place for miles around. (Guess what, that's why we stayed here despite the price). They milk that for what they can get.
The recital of all the rules was not the most welcoming entree. They could have softened it by telling us about the free wifi (had to inquire later).More
