As you walk around the harbor you will hear a live band. Just head towards that and you will pick up the scent of a barbecue in progress. Blackbeard the Pirate mannequin will be at the door ( photo-op). Just go inside or sit outside and eat and drink and listen to the music or have a dance. Always a pleasant atmosphere where alot of locals hang out.

We ordered baby back ribs and a shrimp salad.
The menu said the shrimp were grilled. When the meal arrived the shrimp looked boiled and the supposed Ceasar salad was made with wilted lettuce, probably from the buffet with assorted vegetables like old broccoli.

The ribs looked resurrected from last Sunday's buffet. They were dry and old. I did eat a little but I will eat anything.

They did take the salad off the bill. I took the ribs home too feed the neighborhood opossum.

I love dogs but I don't want to sit down to lunch in a dog park.

We would never eat here again.

Don't order the lobster bisque whatever you do
Not even lobster, not even a bisque
The locals seem to enjoy drinking there, maybe there's a reason they don't order the food

Tri-tip stew was loaded with celery (ugh), not much tri-tip. Tri-tip plate was tasty, but mighty chewy.

What a shame .. 5:30 pm on a Sunday in July. how lovely to sit in the patio overlooking our beautiful harbor --UNTIL ALL THE SMOKERS CRAP DRIFTED OVER US. You would think the owners would know better and have some common sense. The OVERPRICED BAD food took 25 minutes to arrive.. was not crowded .. the veggie burger was totally tough .. (how does that happen) and was topped with a small piece of wilted, withered lettuce (from last week is my guess) and my salmon burger the same piece of greenish something. THEN the sweet potato fries arrived, they were so almost black and COLD -- REALLY.

the "entertainment" while waiting soooo long for our order (3 of us + a 4 year old) was the bumbling, unclassy owners trying to set up long tables and telling each other off .

Will certainly never return and will do my best to inform as many important Ventura people as possible.
