“Good Mexican food”

This is a very simple restaurant. You order at a steam table with the usual Mexican items. But great soups, two each day. Their green pozole is the best I've had. The server will build your burrito, tacos or combination plate to your specifications. There is also fish, tamales, and other items that change day to day. Menudo on the weekends, but also sometimes during the week.

There is also a bakery with pan dulce and other Mexican items and also cookies, pies etc.

The is a nice eating area, nothing to elaborate, but comfortable. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous.

I was surprised by the quality of the food, breakfast made to order. Had Machaka with eggs, flavors very Mexican, potatoes had bits of onions and peppers. Mexican pastries are a must add to breakfast, many having that yummy vanilla pudding.
Service is a bit disorganized, but I took it as it is and did not let it ruin the good food. Priced very reasonable.

I have been here once which was not a pleasant experience. Parking is tough. Food is like cafeteria food; most things are not made fresh to order. There prices aren't horrible but for what you do pay one would expect a made to order breakfast. Go to this place only if you are in a hurry and can't be seated quickly elsewhere. The staff is very nice but everything else needs some serious work.

I've been here for breakfast and their huevos rancheros are terrific. They have breakfast specials starting at $5.99

I've tried their chile rellenoes and they're outstanding. A la carte they're $5 and change. As a plate with rice, beans and handmade corn tortillas, add $3. Highly recommended!

The bakery good are outstanding! There's a huge selection to choose from. I recommend the sugar cookies (.75 cents) and the apple turnovers ($1.50). They have traditional American pastry items as well as Mexican sweet breads.
