Beautiful atmosphere, particularly for a strip mall restaurant. The wait staff was courteous but I wouldn't call them friendly, just professional. The price was ASTRONOMICAL. The sushi was not inedible but it was also not fresh and moist, pretty much what you would expect of sushi in a desert city.
This would be a good place to take a date. They'll be impressed with the atmosphere and the amount of money you're throwing down. And the two of you can commiserate about the dry sushi and spend an enjoyable time talking about the best sushi your date has ever had. Maybe you can finagle a second date out of them by telling them you would love to take them to their favorite sushi place to make up for your experience here.
