This is the Sushi place in El Paso where we eat most frequently. Nice assortment of sushi and cooked food as well. Ambiance is plain, but food and chef are great. Same people for many years. Was previously "Samurai". Have eaten here perhaps 50 times and never a bad meal. Price as sushi goes is very reasonable.

I love sushi. And sushi zen has the freshest The rice is perfect. The food comes out fast. An important tip. Ask what’s their fresh fish They’ll cook it the way you want it. You’ll think you’re in the most expensive seafood restaurant. Lunch offers a great deal for $10. You’ll leave satisfied. And if you’re a vegetarian ask them to prepare something special for you.

I like sushi and have been to many sushi places in El Paso. I like this the best. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, the decor is classy. It is date place with good food. Many sushi place are way too expensive, or if they are reasonable the decor is hum drum. This place has reasonable prices with classy decor. Don't be fooled by its location in a strip mall by a drive in bank.

NO ALCOHOL, and all I really wanted was a sake. Rolls were just Ok, I had the sold shell crab roll and the batter was almost like a beer batter and not a fan of the fake crab. Had a coupe nigiri that tasted off, not bad at all, just the sauces were different from traditional.

For me this is the freshest sushi in town. And if you are vegetarian they will prepare something for you. They don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own bottle of wine. Prices are reasonable and you won't be disappointed.
