This park is along the Arkansas trail as well as the river. The Big Dam Bridge is just up the road. Lots of picnic shelters and lots and lots of open field space. Relatively quiet and very peaceful.

I came here looking for a playground for my 6 year old to play on. Online we had read that there were 2 playgrounds, but we never found any. There are several areas of Murray Park, so we could have missed it, but we did a pretty thorough search with no luck. One area has a boat dock area with plenty of parking for trucks and boat trailers. There are steps down to the dock, which really could use some cleaning up. There was no trash can nearby, but if I'd had gloves I would have picked up a little bit. Beer cans, wrappers and other trash all over the dock. Also, there are a few boards missing and others that feel pretty unsteady, so be careful. The view is beautiful though!
There is a soccer field, and a sign that said grass volleyball, but I didn't see any nets set up. Lots of picnic tables, a restroom, and a very nice dog park. There were lots of dogs and their owners in there on a beautiful Saturday. It was a hot day, but it is really well shaded in that area of the park.
We drove a bit further down Rebsamen Road and found another section of Murray Park. It had several nice pavilion areas right along the river. They each had large fireplaces. Geese were everywhere. There was a sand volleyball tournament going on with lots of people on that side of the park. Ample parking and at least one restroom. Again the view was gorgeous from here. No playground that we could see though.
We drove a bit further down to the Big Dam Bridge and Lock and Dam. There were tons of cyclists, runners, and dog walkers. Nice paths, both paved and earthen. It's a great recreation area.

Was in town shopping and had our dogs with us. Dog park was great, took our dogs there, met some very nice people and they gave us some ins and outs for things to see in the city. really enjoyed the park, so did the dogs!

Overall best dog park.
No pass required to get in. Huge grounds and well shaded for hot days. Dog washing area with hose and everything. Good access and parking.

I've been there several times. They have great running/biking/walking paths that are always in use - and feel very safe. There are several really nice pavilions and a big dog park with benches, picnic tables and fun stations for the dogs. They do not, however, have any decent playgrounds for kids that I could find.
