We each had a dozen Gulf oysters on the half shell, and these suckers were so huge and icy cold we should’ve stopped there! But being gluttons, we went onto small bowls of shrimp etouffe and gumbo, with onion rings and fried asparagus. OMG! My brother, who is hard to please, was thumping the table and moaning in delight. Service was very friendly and quick at 11:15 on Wednesday, but I’ve been there at high noon and they still fill the orders quickly. This restaurant has been there for decades. Now you know why!

Had a quick lunch here as we were in the vicinity. Very good, fresh seafood. The gumbo was good, very different from other we have had, but very good. The service was excellent and very fast.

Nothing fancy but popular on Friday night during Lent. Our wait wasn't long to get seated. Fried catfish was good. Wine and beer served. Service was friendly.

Love the food here. Po’Boys are good but I love the shrimp basket or platter. Breading is ample on the shrimp so if you don’t like lots you might try something else. Good sides and hushpuppies are good but Soul Fish has my favorite. Shrimp boil dinner is great here!

Not a shiny place, but don't let that slow you down. Where to park? Drive around to the back, climb the stairs to the door and wander down the hallway. Sit where you want.

The Po-boys are excellent. So is the gumbo, but we don't get the chicken variety they serve on Friday. You can still get the regular stuff then.

They fresh shuck oysters if you like the half shell variety. We're into having ours cooked, but they give you plenty.

All the sauces on on the counter for serve yourself, so grab what you need. Another plus, if you want a sandwich, they serve a bag of Zapps potato chips, a favorite Louisiana brand kettle chip. No excuse for ever leaving this place hungry.
