Stayed with family over the last weekend and had a great experience. Having kids, main concern was it the room will be nice and clean. We couldn't ask for more. Professional staff, convenient location, nice and clean room. We drove from I95 South and went through Lincoln Tunnel. Hotel is few minutes from the tunnel and the garage is next door. $30 per day for small car. We had a bed and breakfast package, so we ate next door at the Pigalle. After reading few reviews regarding the place, I was little bit skeptical but have no complaints. Didn't wait at all on the service and the food was great. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone. We will definitely go back again!

Location of the hotel is great. Easy walk to Times Square but far enough removed for it to be a little more relaxed. Subway location across the street made it easy to travel around the city. We had a room on the 15th floor overlooking 8th Avenune, had a nice view looking our toward New Jersey. The room was good sized but was a little dated with some drooping wall paper and few cracks in the wall being visible. The front desk and hotel employees were very friendly and help. The hotel was a great value for the money and we would stay there again in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor to avoid the noise of the subway

We stayed one night at this hotel since we were in town to see a show. We would definitely stay here again, especially at our rate of about $149 for a king room, including all taxes. The room and bath are standard-issue HGI, which is just fine, and the place appeared to be clean and very well-maintained. We drove into town and the garage is right in the building, just a few feet from the lobby entrance. A ticket validation at the front desk gets you a $30 overnight rate. The staff members were extremely friendly and helpful, and it's clear they get a lot of training in customer service. The location is great, because you're close to Broadway, public transportation, Columbus Circle, Lincoln Center, lots of good restaurants, etc. This area used to be kind of seedy, but it's gotten a lot better in recent years. Overall, this was a tremendous value. I joked to my wife that it has to be the cheapest hotel room in Manhattan that doesn't increase your chances of being murdered.

Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square from Thursday-Sunday as a weekend getaway with my wife to celebrate our anniversary and to see a Broadway show. The Hilton Garden Inn appealed to me due to the price value, location and other great reviews here on TripAdvisor. Experienced it first hand myself, the reviews don't lie. This hotel is plus. It should be rated higher in the top 10 hotels to stay on Times Square.

Location:

Perfect location just steps away from Times Square and away from the busy noise! Very important if you want to come back and relax in quiet after a long day of touring the city. Also, the hotel is very close to some great little non-chain restaurants. Some food places on Times Square are just tourist traps, over priced and not that good, so it was good to try out some places right across the street from the hotel (Social Lounge and West End Grill) which we found to have better food and drinks than some of the better known places on Times Square. Prices were reasonable for NYC as well. There is also a grocery store next to the hotel which can be helpful if you need to pick up something.

Rooms:

Our room was clean and in immaculate condition. The decor was modern and not overly gaudy. Rooms have a nice homely feel to them. Loved the adjustable mattress where you can dial in the firmness settings to your liking. Bathroom was well appointed, kept up, and had wonderful Neutrogena care products. Everything in the room worked and the space was great. We had a high floor and did not have any noticeable street noise. Housekeeping does a great job and kept our rooms nice and tidy. Wash cloths and towels were always replenished.

Staff:

Very helpful and pleasant staff. This place welcomes you. Concierge was very helpful. Always someone waiting in the lobby to help you with directions, flag a cab or give recommendations for good restaurants. What really stood out to me is the Guest Experience Managers. They emailed me before my stay to make sure i did not have any concerns or to see if i had any special requests. They do everything they can to make your stay the best possible. I can attest to that firsthand. This gives your stay more of a personal touch instead of feeling like a random guest at some other hotels with impersonal customer service. Special thanks to Nicole, Jared and Laura.

Other little small things that impressed me was that there was no wait for an elevator hardly ever. An elevator would always be waiting on the lobby floor opened.
Complimentary wireless internet in the rooms was wonderful and fast. True value as many other hotels charge $16 a day just for internet.
The lobby, hallways and rooms smell great! Some hotels have an "old" smell to them, but this hotel smells very fresh and clean all throughout. Don't know what they use, but it's great. Didn't get a chance to make it over to the attached restaurant Pigalle's, but saw alot of people in there for dinner so it must not have been pretty good.

I would recommend anyone to stay here over higher priced options. You won't find a better value in Times Square. We will sure be back on our return trip to NYC.
