Stayed here for two nights - rather wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were really helpful, and the junior suite was perfect for our needs. We could use the kitchenette with microwave and coffee maker to have a pre-breakfast until the rest of the world woke up (coming from the UK meant we rose very early). It was all very clean and well equipped. Would have given it 5 stars if the restaurant had been up to the same standard as the hotel. A little difficult to find, as the frontage is so small, but well worth it. So much better value than the tiny rooms for similar price offered elsewhere.

We love this hotel. We are repeat guests here and the place is always clean and inviting. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Our one bedroom suite was superb. There was ample space and it was really appointed nicely. Our suite came with a large king bedroom with a large closet, a living room with a large sofa and chair, a small bar area and a generously sized bathroom. Everything was a great working order. It is always a pleasure to return to The Blakely.

Room Tip: We always request a high room overlooking 55th Street.

Clean and pleasant hotel just own the street from a subway station. About 3 blocks to Central Park; about 3-4 blocks to Radio City and Rockefeller Center. Friendly and helpful staff; a free adequate continental breakfast in the attached restaurant. My only complaint, and not a strong one, is thee amount of street noise even on the 10th floor. Other than that, the room was large by NYC standards, I think.

I stayed at the Blakely for seven nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We had what was effectively a small apartment with separate bedroom, sitting area and bathroom, all immaculately decorated and comfortable.

The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast, but that was really very minimal.
Also the service from the breakfast staff was less than professional. We gave it a miss after the first experience.
However, there is excellent breakfast restaurant at the corner of Sixth Avenue and 56 the street (aptly nicknamed Heart Attack Central) which serves the most amazing breakfast.

The hotel's location on 6th and 55th street is ideal, particularly around Christmas time.

On a Christmas trip to NYC, my wife and I stayed at The Blakeley based on a friends recommendation . I had actually booked a room at one of the larger hotels but changed to The Blakeley and we were glad we did! We stayed in a one bedroom suite and had enough space to enjoy our time there. The staff at the concierge/doorman desk very quickly learn and recognize you when you return every day. And they are very helpful if you need anything. We would definitely stay at this hotel again!
