Just got back from Sicily. Was in the mood for really good Italian. Baker & Co. WAS the answer. In the summer time you can sit outside. Like in Italy, they had excellent wine by the pitcher. The food was fresh, tasty, and memorable. Service was attentive.

Always good. No liquor license because I’d some archaic law but they make up for it in creativity with mead etc

Baker & Co is truly outstanding - from the food, atmosphere, service, and wine selection, this is one of the best places for Italian in NYC. We love their Mac and cheese - a unique take on the old classic, with rich cheese and a crispy parm coating. Their lasagna is outstanding - enough for two - with a hearty lamb ragu, prosciutto, and rich tomato sauce. The appetizer selection is great - try the bombas (with truffle). The service is great and always attentive, with excellent less known wine selections (and great recommendations). The space is cozy - once you get through the slim interior (and nondescript front - it's easy to miss), you'll find yourself in a quaint west village bistro. There is a patio out back (with bistro lighting), but we prefer the inside. Great date night spot. Sometimes seating can get tight - request a corner table. One bathroom so sometimes there is a line, but a small price to pay for this west village gem! We return often.

There were 5 of us for brunch and not one disappointed diner! Our brunch entrees were absolutely delicious. We also each had peach bellinis which were quite tasty. It is very noisy and crowded (our table for 5 was more like a table for 4) and there is only one single restroom which is challenging. The outdoor seating looked quite lovely so if that might be a good option for you.
