Bathrooms tired classic leaking toliet smeared with sealant. Simply tired and dirty but perhaps what you get for a 3 star hotel in NY vs other more modern or more expensive hotel.

Good location with easy access to the subway system heading up and downtown.

Room Tip: Rear located rooms are quieter vs hearing early am garbage trucks clearing bags of garbage

I usually stay in Chelsea as its convenient to Penn Station, away from Times Square madness, usually less expensive than the rest of the city, and offers a great hub to great areas of the city.
The hotel is very clean, well maintained and the fragrance of flowers abounds as the entire street is a Mecca of florists it seems. Staff are very welcoming from the bellman, desk staff and the bar staff, everyone was extremely courteous and helpful.
The room was nice, clean, good space considering it is NYC and rooms run small. Even being up high, facing the street will prove detrimental in the morning as the city wakes and the noises resume. Again though, it is the city that never sleeps.
Didn't have breakfast but I can say the complimentary coffee was good.
Overall, I'll be back for future visits.

This is my second stay at this hotel. The room is comfortable as is the bed. It's always clean. It has black out shades which help you sleep. Towels, soap, etc. are fine. There is a desk chair but no armchair in the room, so you have to sit on the bed if there is more than one of you staying in the room. The complimentary wifi was terribly slow and I couldn't even respond to email with it. The shower was a handicapped shower with no curb, but the water splashed out all over the floor and we had to use extra towels to prevent slipping. There is a breakfast buffet, but it is quite expensive. So, some positives and some improvements needed.

Room Tip: away from the elevator, on floor 10 or above for less noise

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the internet. We have informed our IT department and will immediately improve our internet service. Due to our high occupancy, we found that you were accommodated in a handicap accessible room. According to the Federal Americans with Disability Act we are required to provide a roll-in shower. Lastly, please be advised, our breakfast buffet is priced competitively amongst other establishments in our immediate vicinity. It was a very nice choise, as we travelled all the family together. The room was adequate for 4 persons, 2 king size beds. Well equiped and clean. The coffee / tea facility in the room very convenient. We tried the breakfast which was not included in the price, and it was very good and not too expensive, for NY prices of course. The personel very kind. As there was a misunderstanding with our reservation and the first night was not included they accomodate us in the hotel next door and didn't charge this night and also offer us breakfast for the next day. The location very convenient, metro station nearby and also many restaurants etc.

This is my second stay at this hotel and once again I enjoyed it. The location of the hotel on 28th between 6th and 7th is excellent. Our room had 2 double beds that occupied most of the space but there was still room to move and open small suitcases. The bathroom had a good size. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was very friendly. They had cookies for free at the lobby in the afternoon and that was a nice treat. The only negative was the wi-fi. Maybe because I was on a different floor, but this time around the wi-fi was very slow. On that same block as the hotel is a little coffee shop called A Little Taste (or ALT). They have great coffee, scones and other delicious things.
