We stayed three nights in January when they had just started construction work in the lobby, must have been hard on them but did not bother us. Because of that work they gave us coupons for breakfast at a nearby Café Manhattan a very nice and interesting place which we will visit again.
The room was on a high floor, clean and warm. The staff was friendly and efficient. Due to that and the excellent location we will definitely be back.

The rooms were nice, but very small. The furnishing were neat, clean, and modern. The breakfast was good, but it was very crowded. The hotel staff did a great job of stocking breakfast food and keeping things moving. Great location - only two blocks to Times Square and a few feet to 5th Avenue. Lots of great restaurants nearby, including Goodburger.

Room Tip: pack light.

I have stayed in this hotel a number of timese because I like the location and if you shop around can find it at good prices. But its just a bed, i.e. place to stay, nothing special.

The rooms are small but clean and reasonably well maintained. That's why I stay here along with the location which is convenient but this is a no service hotel.

Ask for anything in this hotel and the response is what you want something from us? I am a member of the chain's loyalty club but that gets you nothing at this hotel. Absolutely nothing. Maybe a bottle of water if you ask where's my check in gift from the club. The club is etitled to late check out ... well not at this hotel. The response is always oh we are so busy, maybe we will give you an extra 30 minutes or if you are really lucky 1 hour. Nothing more. You point out the club and their response is like "so?" Almost always when you arrive before 3 pm rooms are never ready yet in the morning the mains start banging around in halls before 8 am and they do anything they can to get you out of the rooms ASAP.

The elevators are a disaster in the mornings especially. They have two to serve 25 floors and they take forever to come. If you have an appointment to make make sure you leave 15 minutes for the elevators to get down to street level.

Can't comment what the new lobyy will be like but the breakfast area has been tiny in size overstuffed with tables and really hard to get the free breakfast the promise. Sometimes the eggs are like rocks and they always taste (if they taste) like reconsisuted egg substitue. The idea of the breakfast is nice but the space is too small and the food very medicore at best.

The price at this hotel also varies wildly. Shop around because this place takes any opportunity it can to jack up the price and if you end up paying $300 you are going to be really disappointed in this place. Generally once they jump the price above about $100 or $150 a night I skip this place and go on to others in the neighborhood. I might pay as much or more but the rooms are bigger and the service more caring at the bigger/better hotels.

This place in my opinion is best only when it is a cheep stay.

Room Tip: Rooms are universally small. Lower the floor the harder it can be in the morning to get an elevator...

My stay in this hotel was one of the worst experience ever. The management staff is arrogant, lobby is in under construction and I strongly suggest to avoid this locati on.

Breakfast that they have arranged in nearby cafe is worst too. You feel like you are eating in some homeless shelter.

Stay away.........

Please accept my apology regarding your dissatisfaction with the overall service provided at the hotel. Our lobby renovation effort will be completed in February, and was noted on our website accordingly. We look forward to the finished product upon completion. We certainly strive to provide personalized service to our guests, and regret that a sense of arrogance was conveyed. Our hot buffet breakfast service has received very positive feedback from our guests, who have directly expressed this on numerous occasions to me and the rest of the hotel team. Nevertheless, your feedback is helpful, and it will be used as an opportunity to communicate guest concerns to every member of our team. Thanks again for your feedback, and I hope you will give us the opportunity to show our true mettle in the future.

Is stayed here 4 nights and although the room was on the smallish side with limited closet space, it was very clean and had a nice updated look. The staff was very nice and accomodating. Breakfast area is small but the food is good. They were in the process of renovation while I was there though so it may be better in the future!

Room Tip: There are only 6 rooms per floor. None will solicit a "view" even though it's a talle...
