We needed a hotel room with 2 beds which was harder than I thought to find in the city but this hotel worked and was conveniently located in the city. Hotel is very clean and located next to a restaurant that was a nice fast option when we were tight on time and they give you a discount coupon at check in for it. Hotel has a lot of floors so make sure you plan time to wait for elevator during peak times. Would stay here again.

Its not uncommon near Time Square to enter a hotel lobby and see people camped out with their luggage in the common areas and surfing on their phones as they grab a charge. . . this is what you get with this particular property. Heavy on tourists and lines, light on bells and whistles.

If you're a business traveler, skip it. Rooms are tight, ironing facilities are poor (for those that need to prep for a morning business meeting) and the wait for the elevator could very well impact your arrival at a meeting.

Room tip: Rooms on the backside of the hotel - away from 54th street will have more sunlight

We had a great experience at this property - everyone was very helpful. The room was very clean and a nice size for the City. Very convenient to the Ed Sullivan Theater. I will certainly use this property again!

Our check in and check out was smooth and problem free. The price was exactly as advertised. The hotel lobby has a therapeutic aroma. Not sure what they use but it smells amazing. Clean, Extremely nice and helpful people. Pleasant and polite. I want to emphasize how nice and helpful everyone is at the hotel. We asked if it was possible to have a lower level room that is as quiet as can be. The room the nice lady provided us was at the back of the building (still a view of a street) on the 6th floor and at first we thought it would be noisy due to the fact it is sandwiched in between two elevators. NOPE. we never heard a peep. No traffic noise, no people noise, no elevator noise. Silence. The bed and pillows were also therapeutic. We tried to find out how to buy the same pillows for home. The room is small for Las Vegas standards but normal for NYC. We had a TV, and Yes a REFRIGERATOR, coffee, storage, clean tub and shower. We had everything we needed. There are great delis and restaurants all around you. Subway station is a block away at 53 and 7. Central park is a short walk. Rent a bike and ride the park. For New York City the hotel pricing was better than competitive and the stay was very nice, clean and comfortable. My advice is to take advantage of the pricing here as it is worth it and just know While the lobby smells so very nice it is on the small side, yet cozy with coffee and newspapers available in the mornings and excellent people. The elevators can take some time at peak times but is not unbearable. If you are on a floor that has no ice machine simply take the stairs to the next level. It is very quick and the stairs are located at the end of a very short hall, you can't miss them. Plan ahead for peak elevator and lobby times and you will be just fine. We never felt crowded in the lobby and the elevator wait wasn't bad. There is also a restaurant connected to the lobby if you don't want to walk across the street to the cool spots there. New York City is truly the city that never sleeps. I've never seen anything like it. Hilton Garden Inn New York/Central park South-Midtown West located on 54th St. between Broadway & 8th was an amazing part of the visit. Thank you to all at Hilton. Till next time Cheers from Dallas Texas, Go Cowboys, Go Longhorns

The hotel was in a brilliant location close walking distance to most things but quiet enough to enjoy a good night's sleep with limited noise. Rooms could have been bigger and although very clean, for the money other hotels offered more luxurious accomodation.
