“It was just okay”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2012

Sorry to say I had seen so many reviews about this park and couldn't wait to visit. Myself and friend went this past August and quite honestly I was not impressed. First off we spent 25 minutes trying to find a street which would give us access. All the routes we chose were closed.
When we finally were able to get access, there were so many people we felt we were on a crowded street...The views were just okay.. Personally, i really don't know what all the hype is about. I would rather walk in central park

“A nice rail-trail”

In our general experience rail-taruil sare xecellent for bicycling but boring foer hiking. Observing the large number of walkers (cycling is verboten) this may be an excetion of the rule.

“Good Place....I think”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2012

We so badly wanted to enjoy this walk but bad weather just didn't allow for it. The 10 minutes or so we did walk the walk were very beautiful and serene. The views are beautiful from here and it is nice bc it is slightly elevated so it is pretty peaceful.

“Probably worth seeing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2012

Worth going to, just to say you have been there, but it wasn't particularly amazing.
Having said that, we were there in winter when everything was brown. I imagine in Spring/summer it would be more impressive.
We walked though Bleecker St/the West Village on the way to the High Line and we thought that was much more interesting.
