“Peaceful refuge in the middle of everything”
Reviewed 21 February 2012

The best way to spend lunch or part of an afternoon is to grab something to eat from the Chelsea Market and hop up to the 10th &14th Street entry to the High Line. Lovely views, landscaping, and architecture all around. Great way to bring nature and community into the big city - and even with throngs of people, there is still a peaceful aura about it.

“Great perspective”
Reviewed 21 February 2012

I lived in this nabe when the High Line was nothing but abandoned tracks. Now it's a great place to walk, see the city from a new perspective, catch glimpses of Statue of Liberty, and admire the details and thought that went into making this an outstanding public space.

Reviewed 21 February 2012

stop in for a cup of coffee..it's breathtaking and FREE.please read up before you climb the stairs to an era gone!..they show movies in the summer up there..old railway tracks ,from when delivery of goods used to go North & South on this island..and if you look just 2 blocks South,a building named Westbeth STILL has the railroad tracks within their building. That building just got Historical status. It can never be touched by developers
