A fantastic meal and very friendly. The portions are large and the food delicious. 2 adults and 2 teenagers (who eat like adults!) 3 dishes with rice was plenty. The price for what we ordered was fine.

Thank Richard B

We just happened to come upon this restaurant late after a Broadway show and the owner kept the kitchen open a few more minutes while we ordered. I don't care too much for Chinese food, but this was great! We ordered two main dishes, fried rice, double order of dumplings and three desserts. no alcohol this time. the bill was like $115, pricey? slightly, but the food is worth it!
he warned us that our dishes were going to be spicy, but they were not at all, so that is my only complaint. I think he looked at us 4 white girls and decided we were whimpy, which we are not so we had to use hot oil sauce.
the owner is super nice and loves what he does. we will go again when in new York!

We ate here last week and brought our one year old with. They put us in a private room which was probably more for their sake than ours haha! But we still really appreciated that. They brought out food for her promptly. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The chicken I got was perfectly cooked. It was crispy, flavorful, and amazing. I wish we had a fridge at our hotel so I could have taken the leftovers.

It was a bit pricey, but the portions were huge, so was worth it. It had a very nice ambiance and my daughter loved the pistachio gelato at the end too.

Had a wonderful meal with my daughter during Restaurant Week. The food was very good and abundant. Ended up taking home doggie bags! The service was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be going back!

My BFF and I wanted to share a special evening dinner during NYC restaurant week near the hotel she was staying at. After reviewing other Trip Advisor comments about 3 area restaurants, sorry to say we settled on Chin Chin. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entering. The waiter brought the menus which were dirty and had a laundry list of their dishes with no explanations. We had to ask for the restaurant week menu. We chose our cocktails which arrived promptly - seems the only thing that arrives quickly is anything form the bar. We placed our orders. The hot and sour soup was tasty, but then we waited over a half hour for our first course of 3 different dumplings. We had to get the floor manager in order to get our food. This continued through the rest of the meal and luckily he was responsive. Our dumplings were ok - nothing special. After waiting another 45 minutes, we got our main courses. The Tea Smoked duck was practically inedible - super dry and the skin was unbelievably tough. The scallops with ginger and scallions was good but very salty. The presentation did not exist and the rice was sort of tossed at us in sloppily filled bowls. No one checked in to see how our meal was and it took a while to clear the plates. The raspberry sorbet was good, but after such a disappointing meal it was a moot point. It took over 2 1/2 hours and while we were not in a hurry, the pacing was poor and the restaurant, although crowded when we first got there was fairly empty by the time we left. Other diners around us did not seem to be having the same issue and it was so disappointing that when we had to keep getting the floor managers attention, that the service never changed throughout the meal. Would not recommend this restaurant. Have gotten better food from local take outs & the service was awful. Luckily, the company was the best and we made the best of the night as always!.
