Wasn't overly impressed, just another paddy o'whackery Irish bar in America. Defo not worth the "best bar in the world" title, the real deals are in Ireland. Guinness was a dour one pour pint, for the award it won you'd imagine the bar maid would have known what she was going. Stick to the likes of Rudys, Jimmys Corner, local bars, don't waste your time in Irish bars not in Ireland and experience some proper local NY pubs.

I ventured to the Dead Rabbit seeing as it was one of the highest rated bars on the Internet for NYC and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very original and once inside you forget about the mammoth city surrounding you. The people are friendly and the drinks are well priced and reasonable. Definitely make sure you take the time to go upstairs and check out the second floor bar as well, very clever how they keep their bitters and mixers stored.

Thanks for the great experience!

This is like a hidden gem. You just might pass it by.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. I went with a about 8 people and we stat on the 3rd floor. Our waitress was a real trooper for putting up with us.

It is incredibly charming and possibly haunted. ;) Well it gives you the feeling you are in another time with its old pub feel. It is also a historical place so there education that comes along with it. VERY COOL! ask about it's history and it's whisky.

The food and drinks are excellent.

Next time I am in NY I WILL be back here for sure!

After a long day of walking we stopped off here for a quick drink. The bar is really nicely decorated and really clean. The beer is good and at a normal NYC price of $8. If this bar had been a little closer to our hotel we defiantly would return.

We came to The Dead Rabbit for dinner on the recommendation of a friend who had worked in the Financial District. What a great find! The blend between a speakeasy/Irish pub creates a unique ambiance. The food (especially the fish & chips), drinks, and service were all excellent, even on a very busy night. It is easy to see why this was rated "The World's Best Bar."
