Plush and perfect. Excellent service all around. We arrived early to attend a meeting and knew check-in time wasn't for several hours. We weren't in a rush, but they said they would see if there was a room available already. I didn't expect a room to be ready especially since I requested a feather-free room (I called with the special request 2 days prior), but they got the room ready in 30 min. During our NY visit we stayed at a hotel in SoHo and another at Times Square. This one is definitely in a more quiet and remote area, but walking distance to Statue of Liberty ferry and 9/11 Memorial. If you want to be steps away from shopping and eating at all hours then stay in Times Square. However, you can get to these places easily via subway from the Ritz. Cabs are easy to get too, but cost about $20 to Times Square. Can't beat the subway price of $2.50.
When we checked out they held our bags for us for as long as we needed. Loved the property and enjoyed our stay. If we could afford it we would definitely stay here again.

Spent a Saturday evening at the RC Battery Park, during Presidents weekend. I have stayed at 10 RC properties and this was a hotel like the others. The thing I found odd was the Club Level. Normally the Club Level has the five sittings of finger foods throughout the day, Battery Park offered four. The wine selection and alcohol was set out until 8pm, but the lounge didn't close until 10pm. With the lounge about 80% full, getting a glass of wine was difficult. I have only seen the alcohol and desserts go away closer to the closing bell. The Club Level didn't have the friendly feel the others do. Also, beware, if you have children with you, you will be charged and additional $35 per child, per day. I am an RC Rewards Platinum member and was shocked by this. Greats views of the Statue of Liberty.

If you want out of the hustle and bustle of the city that never sleeps this is a quiet low key hotel that sits right at the tip of the island. It is also a bargain for a Ritz Carlton.
The Financial district just near by is a great place to begin your city adventure. The area is a favorite of mine...often people call it too sleepy but there is so much to discover down in this area. It also has some of the most subway connections so travel any where is easy. If you like taking the Ferries they are all down here. Getting to the Jersey shore is just a quick boat ride away. You really feel like you are in a New york moment when you see the Statue of Liberty and catch your self wrenching your neck up at the towering sky scrappers in the caverns of the area. The architecture is amazing down in this area and probably the best bargain shopping of any on the island is found just a short walk away from the hotel.
The hotel does not have much going on inside. Just one restaurant and one bar that seems pretty sleepy but the food and service is great.
The one bedroom Executive Statue of Liberty Suite is nice and functional...very quiet with a great view of the water. The mini bar only has beer and soda and stocks only M&M's and Pringles. Would have liked some wine stocked in room but you can order room service or there are some great wine stores in the financial district a short walk away. Nice desk/office set up and couch living room area. The bed is very comfortable! Shower and bathroom are on the small side but very functional.
Nice workers all around in hotel. It is the kind of hotel you can go to and be very low key. Great place to run (West side on Hudson River) just outside the door.
Spa is not really a spa...just one room with a tiny locker room. But do not let this scare you off from getting a massage. There is an excellent therapist named Katie that has some of the best hands any where in NYC. The room is super cozy and you can let all your cares drift away...quietly with no one else around.
There is a small decent work out room, but the place to run/walk is right outside the hotel.
If you want to eat outside of the hotel but do not feel like walking more than a half block you are in luck...there is an amazing Tuscan restaurant just next door with a great bar and wonderful brick oven pizza. The soup was better than in the ones we ate in Tuscany.
All in all this hotel is a great bang for your buck and is a great place to stay.

Our room was nice with a good view of ground zero. Being a family of four it was great having the use of the club lounge. Our first time to New York
and we enjoyed every minute. A big thank you to the club lounge staff who were excellent.

Booked this hotel last minute on Expedia...holiday weekend in NY visiting my daughter. Great room, paid $50/day extra for a view of the Statue of Liberty. Not sure it was worth that, because we weren't in the room all that much, but it was nice nonetheless. It's cool to be in NY and have a sweeping view of water, and ferries. I've never had that combination before -- NYC and water view -- relaxing! The concierge Jay was not helpful at ALL -- and took my tip and didn't even call me when he told me he would (regarding dinner reservations) -- after 3 hours I called him and he had not been able to help at all. Very disappointing in a property of this sort. Lazy. Didn't really seem to want to help. That's the impression I was left with, which is unfortunate. The female concierge was more helpful and friendly. The bed was NOT the most comfortable ever...as others have said. Yes, it had a pillow top sort of thing, but on an old creaky bed, it doesn't do much good. The sheets were ripped on one corner, and when sleeping and turning -- the sheets came undone at the bottom. This rarely happens at a hotel -- strange, and annoying! Had a massage at the spa, fantastic, but pricey. Had I not been in the middle seat of a West Coast to East Coast red eye, I might have balked. Yep, paid $250+ but she relaxed my back and got me out of pain! So, it was worth the dough. Saw a few celebs -- liked the quiet bar, and met some pro basketball teams during the 4 days I was there -- a bonus! Battery Park in the winter is quiet, and on weekends, there are folks going to Ellis Island, but the financial district is quiet, nice! Very close to the Sept 11 Ground Zero Memorial. Overall, nice stay.

Room Tip: I opted for the view of the water, $50+ a day.
