“Awesome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 March 2012

I along with 13 of my Sunday school class went as a group. We had an awesome time. We ordered our tickets a week in advance. We had reservations at 2:30 pm. When we arrived the lady was outside to great us and ad our resevations on her sheet. She took great care of us . She was very pleasant and asked us if we needed to go to the restroom and if we had any questions. She waited for us and then took us to the line. Everything was so organized. The exhibit was nice. When you first went in the man explained everything and then it was a self paced exhibit. It took us about 2 hrs to see everything. My favorite part was writing a prayer and leaving it on the wall. This was such a great experience. The cake boss cafe is there but I didn't buy anything. Two peole in my group bought a brownie, hot chocolate and a cupcake. The said it was nothing spectacular and very expensive. The hot chocolate was $4 and so was the cupcake.

“Dead Sea Scrolls-History Before Your Eyes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2012

The Dead Sea Scrolls are a must see if you're in NYC. The exhibit does a good job of linking the scrolls to the history of the Middle East. There are many actual artifacts as well as reproductions.
I would suggest you give yourself at least 2 hours, and rent the audiophones.
My one negative about the exhibit is many of the showcases are at adult eye level,so children and those of us in wheelchairs weren't able to see those items.

“Boring”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2012

How does one make the Dead Sea Scrolls and CSI boring? Go to the Discovery Theater and find out. Better yet. Don't bother. Spend your money on some great museums, such as the Met. Maybe the CSI team can figure out who produced this atrocity and sentence them to watching Gilligan Island reruns for eternity.
