The hotel is on 5th Avenue and offers amazing views of the library which is beautifully lit at nite. There is also a wonderful park behind the library to get a dose of nature while in NYC. 2 subway stations are close by for easy mobility.

The hotel itself is über trendy and very nice. When we arrived we were greeted by Emillio who quickly checked us in and showed us to our room. He was very helpful and hooked us up w a great dinner reservation. We mentioned it was my partner's bday and champagne was delivered to our room later that night. Amazing customer service.

The room was beautiful, modern and comfortable. The shower was huge and had a rain head shower nozzle and a foot bath! The bed was super comfy and the iPod docking station and free mini bar treats were a nice touch!

All in all, a great property that I cannot wait to return to!

This hotel was over the top. Spacious rooms, complimentary wine, sodas, water daily. The staff remembers you every time they see you. This hotel was very upscale. I have never seen so many people checking in stating it is good to be back. Lots of repeat guests. The complimentary internet and mini bar was a nice experience. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was over the top. Have rebooked our rooms for the rest of the year at this hotel. Definitely will be back.

We stayed at Andaz for 2 nights earlier this month and couldn't have been happier. The location is terrific, the rooms modern and efficient (and reasonably spacious, given it's NYC) and the staff absolutely great. We wouldn't stay here again at any time, and really commend the management for the way they've trained their staff.

We have stayed at the Andaz twice within the past six months. We had such an enjoyable experience our first time around that we decided to return when I celebrated by birthday this past March.
The hotel is trendy with an understated modern elegance. The staff is extremely efficient and personable. The hotel is a converted prewar building and therefore the rooms are large with high ceilings (especially the lofts) and the bathrooms are large and very well appointed. I also like the fact that there was no additional charge for wifi internet and non-alcoholic mini bar items.
It's fifth avenue location is very convenient to Central Park, shopping and the theater district.
My wife and I have been traveling to NYC frequently for years and this is by far the best place we have stayed.

This is truly a beautiful MODERN hotel that is everything that MODERN should NOT be. The staff at the hotel is courteous and attentive. The hotel itself is a work of art – and perhaps that is the problem – Nothing works, or I should say, nothing works easily. After a speedy check in, it took several minutes to get the card to unlock the door to the room. Another 5 minutes were spent looking for the light switches, which have been replaced with touch sensors. There is no bulb in the place higher than about 20 watts. There was no light near the closet so it was impossible to see inside. Another 10 minutes were wasted on trying how to figure out how to use the electronic controller to roll down the window shades. The thermostat for the room was hidden. The shower in the bathroom seemed carefully designed to spray at least 5% of all water used into the bathroom itself. I finally found that I could take a shower by cowering in a corner and holding the hand held shower over my head. Honestly, I was so frustrated by the entire experience that I left and went home.

BTW – I am NOT an 80 year old technophobe. I am 42 and work in IT. Technology should make our lives easier. In the case of the Andaz, every fad electronic gizmo was used, which made the stay a challenge.
