Description: Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. The local farmer’s market is the driving force behind the seasonal, ever-changing menu. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients. The prix-fixe and tasting menus are available Monday through Sunday for dinner. The restaurant also offers a two-course lunch menu for a terrific value. Gentleman are required to wear a jacket. No jeans, sweatshirts or sneakers allowed. Tie is not required.

Beautiful dining room,
All staff are smartly dressed in a chic way.
The food was not molecular gastronomy but very well done and delicious and all menu really creative.
We order tasting menu.
It was busy day but we were well accommodated by staff.
It was a nice Michelin star experience.

We spent New Years Eve at Jean Georges. Far better than freezing in Times Square :). They had a special tasting menu with an optional wine pairing. The prices were beyond expensive (base menu and the wine pairing), but we knew that going in. The table was topped with New Years Eve masks and hats, necklaces, and stars. The food, wine, and service were exceptional and the staff was very helpful. They easily accommodated a gluten free requirement. The night ended with a champagne toast and a wine champagne bottle made out of chocolate, topped with a sparkler, and filled with more chocolate. It was a fantastic experience. It's a bucket list experience, but not something you'd do on a regular basis unless money is no option to you.

My wife and I had a great meal at Jean George. Food, service, location etc. all excellent. The only thing that could improve would be the ambiance. It is nice but pretty basic. We had ate at Jean George in Bora Bora and had a stunning view so it is probably that we were just expecting to much. (you can't beat any view in Bora Bora).

Had a quick lunch with the family there and everything exceeded my expectation. I used to believe that Per Se is a better place (for 3 hours prix fixe at least) but now I’m a bigger fan of JG.

Exceptional service and ambiance. The champagne and wine were fine! The lamb was too rich but the rest of the meal divine.
