Some amazing things for sale here, ranging from fascinating, unusual, beautiful, off-putting, and even a bit disturbing. Many of the items were surprising that you could even buy them. There were preserved exotic insects, gems and minerals, skeletons, stuffed animals under glass, just crazy things. Many items are reasonably priced though larger or rarer items are pricey. I actually did not buy anything because I couldn't narrow it down to a reasonable number of items, just too many interesting things.

What an interesting shop. Sells minerals, shells, skeletons, meteorites... these dont come cheap but at least window shopping is free. Do drop in and take a look, its hard to find a more interesting shop elsewhere. Expect to spend 15 to 30 mins.

Not great. Kind of bland. The staff leave you alone. The taxidermy was kind of soulless and on the expensive side; nearly everything is behind glass, or behind a showcase, so you can't handle anything you may be interested in buying.

This is the most unique store that we have ever been in. My kids (ages 8 and 10) love coming here. Every time we are in NY, we go to the Evolution Store. They have items that no other store carries. My 8 year old hates shopping, but when we were there in June we spent 2 hours at the Evolution Store. And, he used his own money to purchase a real blowfish and a real rattlesnake. This is a "must see" place for us when we are in NY. Go here - you'll be telling your friends about it afterwards.

This has always been my favorite store in New York. It feels so weird with the taxidermy, bones, and other things, but it's just the right type of weird. It is overpriced, so I mostly just like to window shop, but it's still good for a visit.
