...a majestic tale of love, hope and memory. Beautifully staged production. The intricacies of the set...the costumes...the choreography...the music. The cast is stellar. Indulge the child within and get lost in the tale of Anastasia/Anya. Remember what it feels like to have hope for the future. From the moment the orchestra begins the overture to the last chord of the finale you will be transported.

We saw Anastasia the Musical in May of 2017 and it was fabulous. The acting...the sets...the music. It was exactly as it should have been. If you are like me, you'll find yourself singing teh songs (even the new ones) days after you come home.

We enjoyed Anastasia more than we expected and the costumes and performances were wonderful. I didn't remember the movie too well, since I only saw it when it was released, but there are a couple songs in the live musical that are very catchy. Days later, I still had the one song in my head occasionally. Beautifully done.

Finally arriving on Broadway after a successful try out run at Hartford Stage in Connecticut, this show has got all the elements of a long running hit! Director Darko Tresnjak has kept almost every original cast member from Hartford, and has allowed them to shine on the great white way. Seeing is believing - the special effects, costumes and scenic design enhance the soaring music and the gorgeous voice of Christy Altomare as Anastasia. Beautiful Broadway, the way it ought to be.

We did come to NYC just to see Anastasia. The play was fantastic with the singing, costumes, scenery design, etc... It somewhat followed the movie except their was nothing about the orphanage and she did not have a dog plus when she went to Paris that was a lot different than the movie. Plus their was no Rasputin.
