I stayed at the Americana Inn on a recent business trip. I should have looked more thoroughly. It is as close to bare bones as you can get. The room is very small; there is a double bed, a small dresser, a tv, and small sink. The bathroom is down the hall and shared by 3 or 4 other rooms. The bed a pillows were not very comfortable, but passable.
The neighborhood is safe and the room was clean.
The free “breakfast “ amounted to coffee and a cheap pastry or cookie.
There was a fair amount of street noise, but that is expected in this part of NYC.
