Wonderful time seeing New York on Spring Break Took in a Knick game and the National Geographic Experiences

As it is one of the obligatory stops in NY it's awfully crowded. Bustling with turists and people stopping you every 2 metres trying to sell you an "all included" trips or hop on/off bus tickets.

What else could we want to add to the biggest digital billboard in the world. The Times Square is stunning 24/7/365

It’s a hive of activity. Worth spending 10 minutes or so there. It’s near so many other main attractions so doesn’t take much to plan a visit to Times Square.
Restaurants are more expensive.... walk a couple of minutes to Hells Kitchen instead. Loads of options there

We visited Times Square our very first night in New York! I'm not a fan of tourist attractions whatsoever, but this is like seeing any major attraction in any city, you have to do it at least once just to say you did it.
I had already read a lot of blogs/articles warning me of people selling you stuff down there. DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING FOR FREE. If someone hands you a CD or offers to take a picture with you, they WILL expect payment, and will even chase you down to get some $$$ (one of our friends got chased down by a guy handing out mixed tapes that he believed were free).
Overall, it was a neat experience, but I probably won't go again.
