“Huge Museum imaginatively laid out”

This was a whole day experience and the American wing was great. The European paintings are very popular but we have seen better in Europe

“Reminds Me of A Movie Every Time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2012

number of times I ve gone to the museum i am reminded of the children s movie Dont Eat The Pictures when Big Bird is left overnight searching for Snuffy and his night adventure. even though i ve gone to the museum time and time again i can never remember what the exhibits are in my mind and often I feel like a fool. oh well the main thing about museums is to explore the art and just have a fun time. I do admire the rooms that have all the numerous paintings a lot

“Best Art Museum in America”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 March 2012

We've been to the Met many times over the years, and it never gets old. Exploring their regular collection could take years. Wear comfortable shoes, and stay hydrated! This time we made a special trip to visit the new Islamic Art wing and the new American Wing, as well as the many special exhibitions. We had lunch in the cafeteria, which offers surprisingly good food, but also had a drink at the Great Hall Balcony Bar, where you can sip wine and look at the throngs below. Admission is a steep $25 now, but it's suggested donation, so please pay it if you can, but do not be deterred if you need to pay less. If you have never been, it's simply a "life-list" level destination.

“Outstanding - deservedly a major attraction”

Always crowded and always something interesting to see. Vast selection of course. I never visit New York without spending a few hours at the Met.
