You have to be careful what room you are assigned here. On first night was given a "mezzanine" room. It should be called a "street" room to more accurately represent the amount of street noise you hear. It is equivalent to sleeping on the sidewalk. Aside from the noise issue, the room was strangely shaped and had a foot level window right to the side of the toilet facing the street. We asked for a different room and were told there were none by the not-very-helpful night staff (this is with Gold status and a reservation made 2+ months prior). It was the noisiest room I have ever slept in and it would garner one star on its own.
The next morning, a much friendlier staff member helped us move to a room on a higher floor that was consistent with what you would expect from a Courtyard. There's still more street noise than you'd expect given how many floors up we were (presume poor window insulation) and the A/C rattled loudly when it operated. However, the room was reasonably sized and clean. Wifi was fast.
The location is convenient to mass transit with major bus and trolley lines within one block. The convention center is walkable but there are obviously many closer hotels.
Take home message: say no to a Mezzanine room.More
