The staff was welcoming and very courtesy. The rooms were clean and when I requested something from the front desk they were responsive, friendly, and timely in getting me what I needed. Thank you all!

This hotel was great, super clean, nice rooms, friendly staff and the pool area was gorgeous. Try to get a city view room because most of them have a view of both the city and marina. Walking distance to great restaurants! It’s a wonderful place to stay!!

Dear Marsha41- Those are all great comments- we just wish it was our hotel you were talking about. Based on your comment son the views, that is a different HGI. Glad you enjoyed it- now come visit us in Del Mar some time- our food and service are the best!

we stayed on October 18 in room 311 at Hilton Garden Inn in Del Mar San Diego
being first time to visit this hotel we were very impressed the staff were very friendly and tried to accommodate us due to we have an early flight( very tired ) the front desk ( Isa or Itsa ) she is very pleasing and tried to work out on getting us to check in early -contacted housekeeping -considering check in time is at 3:pm we waited only for a little while we are waiting for our room we went to have breakfast in the restaurant the server we had that day of oct 18 is so sweet when we check back to see if our room is ready Elizabeth who I believe from Sales made an effort to get the room ready and even sent us a fruit plate for being a Hilton Honors member, thank you Itsa and Elizabeth and all the staff in the restaurant the room is very descent /clean
first impression is always a lasting one, we will definitely come back

Chose this HGI due to location. Had breakfast every day in Bistro 39. The selection is limited, but the ingredients were fresh. It was a bit noisy on Friday and Saturday nights, but that is hard to control. The sink in the room was not draining well and the tub faucet was dripping. Hope pillows can be replaced in the future, they were very flat. The issues were minimal and the customer service was good. Customer service makes a big difference in impression and experience.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the tail end of a week in California where we stayed at Hilton Double Tree hotels in LA and Fresno the other 4 nights. This Hilton Garden Inn by comparison, did not have a safe in the room and the air conditioner was a single room unit which noisily cycled on and off all night waking me each time. The plumbing was also very noisy. The toilet flushed with such force my husband commented that it sounded like a cannon going off. The shower had incredible force and we could hear when any of the neighboring rooms turned on their showers. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, breakfast at the restaurant was excellent, complimentary internet was adequate for our needs, the bed was comfortable and the bar was open when we were ready for a beverage. Nightly cost for the room was roughly 85%, and 55% of what we paid in Fresno and LA, respectively.

Dear Linda W- thank you for letting us know about your recent experience. I apologize for the background noise; there are settings on the AC that would have allowed it to be on at all times, even if it was just the fan. I wish the staff had a chance to assist. We do have excellent water pressure in our area. We are very glad you enjoyed the amenities, and that the price was right.
