Most trails are very easy, but are rewarding. Definitely worth your time.

“Lovely hikes”
Reviewed 12 February 2012

The beaches are San Diego's primary draw, but the inland trails and canyons are just as special in their own way.

Very open, and great hiking trails. Great for family hiking. A really neat museum for the family to check out. It is a hidden treasure.

“Walk up high on the cliffs or walk on beach ...”
Reviewed 20 January 2012

While visiting San Diego (business and pleasure) we rented a car to give us the freedom and mobility to explore places like Del Coronado and Mission Trails. It was a bit of a drive from the hotel (Hilton Airport/Harbor -- great by the way) so I'm glad I had my GPS. The drive was interesting and fun, but coming down the mountain highway toward the beach area was spectacular. We drove past the beach area, across the the bridge, and then up the hill on the other side and parked on the ocean side of the street. This allowed us access to the walking paths along the cliffs overlooking the Mission Trails beach area below and the opportunity to literally see 180 degrees for miles. If you have the time to visit, we highy recommend it and the cost to park was well worth the small price, but dress properly it can be very windy at times and cold this time of year.
