Visited the spa on my birthday with the local's day pass which gives you access to the gym, pool and spa. The staff is super nice and the spa is remarkably tranquil.

Call before arriving because the hotel is very popular and you may want to know if there are large groups and children lodging at the hotel. This is just my way of managing expectations.

Recently returned from a trip to San Diego. We had a conference there so we decided to go out early and spend a few days of recreation time. The conference was being held at the bayfront Hilton, so we decided just to get a room at that hotel. The hotel is, as the name implies, on the bayfront in San Diego. Located directly across from Petco stadium. We arrived very early for a room to be ready so the front desk offered us, for $30 more, an upgrade to higher room with immediate occupancy. We had just flown in from the East Coast with a wake up time of 3:30 AM. We only hesitated for about a minute. When we went upstairs and saw the view from our room we were glad we had picked it. We were on the 27th floor facing the bay/marinas. After unpacking we went downstairs to speak with the concierge to see where to eat lunch and what tours we should do for the few days that we had free. That is where we met Karin. Hilton's wonderful concierge. She gave us some choices and we decided on her fav Mexican restaurant. It was amazing. She also helped us arrange a tour of the USS Midway and got us tkts so we wouldn't have to wait in line. She was just so helpful and truly helped make our trip a memorable one! If I ever go back to that city, I would definitely consider the Hilton, because of Karin.

My family and I stayed here in August for 4 nights. It was our first stop from the UK. The hotel is really well situated, right on the waterfront so you can walk along the promenade. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a nice view. We had a particular experience here as our son became very ill on our second day. The hotel were amazing, I rang the concierge who called me a doctor and when I called back a few minutes later to say it was more urgent, he got security to call 911. The security guy came up immediately and stayed with us until the ambulance arrived, The ambulance took 40 minutes so this poor man had to deal with me freaking out every 5 minutes and he was constantly checking for me and very patient and kind. All the staff were fantastic and I hope to go back sometime to see a bit more of San Diego and enjoy the hotel! Fab breakfast (expensive but everywhere is in CA).
Nice restaurant for the evenings. The pool was very nice with plenty of towels and a good amount of loungers. All in all, a very good experience despite our unscheduled trip to the Children's Hospital! (He was fine in the end).

Staying at this hotel was a pure joy. Try to get a corner room on a high floor and you'll get to enjoy breathtaking views. The hotel is located close to the Gas Lamp district, but not in the center of it so it's nice and quiet. The outdoor jacuzzi, spa and comfy beds were all the perfect bonus to come back to after a very long few days of conferences and meetings. Cannot wait to go back!

Huge hotel but its easy to get around. I stayed on the 9th floor in a corner room with a lovely room overlooking the Bay. View was amazing! Room was very large & comfy. Starbucks in the building, nice pool & jacuzzi and the hotel is right on the promenade path which is great for running, walking, etc.

Room Tip: ask for room with bay view
