This place is on the tourist trail after visiting Sam Adams, not sure what it's like in the evenings. However, the food is great, especially the French dip and the Reubens. Good beer selection too, some that aren't available in many other bars in Boston. I thought it was reasonably priced for the quality.
The party bus from the Brewery was excellent fun, "we're going to Doyles" (double fist pump).
Barman a bit moody and off when we arrived but waitress was really nice and friendly.

Thank Glyn F

We did DOYLES following the Sam Adams tour. The trolley journey from Sam Adams to Doyles was in itself hugely entertaining with Jason as the driver / tour guide / disc jockey / and overall DOYLES fanatic.

Doyles itself is a great pub with great eats and old style atmosphere (pictures of Kennedy on the wall!). We had the Rueben sandwiches on Jason's recommendation and they were awesome, washed down with (of course) a couple of Sam Adams.

Visited November 15, 2014 after the Sam Adams Brewery tour. Had a great time in this packed establishment. Ordered the burger and fries, which were good for $11. Might try the Bison Burger next time. Free Sam Adams glass with beer purchase and brewery tour ticket!

Hopped on the trolley from Sam Adams and partied the whole way to Doyles. The driver Jason was awesome on the way and he was so much fun we went on the Drinking Trolley at 4:15 again with him. We only had 25 minutes to get a pint and we ordered the nachos which hit the spot quickly. Service was excellent, beer was cold and the nachos were tasty! Take the trolley...it's free and fun!
