After a Red Sox game, you see that it is crowded and getting more so. Once seated, though, the crowd is gone. Do get a reservation!

The first thing you notice is that it is remarkably elegant. The decor, lighting, art. Really elegant.

OK, the food. Not fine dining, but just really well prepared food with attention to detain. Start with a few oysters from their remarkable selection. Hard to go wrong.

I like their set of appetizers -- have a crispy oyster slider to get the cooked version of oysters. Next, the smoked bluefish pate was nice. Followed up with some fried clams from Ipswich and the heirloom tomatoes. Great variety of dishes to share and a big main dish not required.

A fun night out.

We had a good dinner here after a Red Soxs game at the beginning of August. Our meals were good, we had everything from shrimp, ceviche, oysters and for our mains I had a full fish (head and all) and our friends had the lobster roe noodles and my husband had scallops. We ordered a couple bottles of wine. The disappointing part of our meal was our server. She was clealy having an off night and did the bear minimum. At one point a manager came over and brought us our second bottle of wine and had some casual conversation with us (she was quite friendly, which was nice).

We like to eat at Island Creek Oyster and enjoy the many types of local oysters and seafood. Food is consistently fresh and good and service keeps up even on busy evenings.

Speaking of busy evenings, before Red Sox games and concerts this place is crazy-- loud and way overcrowded. Not sure what they can do about it, but recommend booking early and trying to eat in the back away from the throngs of people at and around the bar.

We enjoyed the striped bass and the lobster salad on this trip and the coleslaw is very creamy and tasty. Good wine and cocktail list as well.

Excellent seafood and impeccable service by Logan P. our server. I had the Greenlaw Farm Green salad (sherry vinaigrette was best dressing I've ever had) and East Coast halibut while the others at the table had the oysters and Cape Cod Striped Bass. Wine was fantastic! Get a reservation they fill up fast. Would highly recommend!

This place is always packed, and for a good reason...it is fun, not too pricey, and full of great food items. But be sure and include a selection of oysters as part of your meal. There is a massive selection available, so you can mix and match to please your palate. I have been twice, and both times were a blast.
