“So good we had to share this secret place!”

Vacationing in Boston for a week, wanted to find a place central to explore Salem, Marblehead, Harvard and Concord by car, and of course Boston. Glad I remembered the Bostonian from years ago as it was next door to Quincy Market. First walking into the lobby made us think of an intimate european hotel. Staff was friendly. Room was large, well furnished and bed comfortable. Large dressing area with counter next to bathroom made my wife happy. Beautiful View of Faneil Hall and Quincy Market from our window. With our day trips exploring by car, the Valet staff and doorman Andrew Scully were always accomodating with personalized service and Red Sox updates. Hotel Restaurant North 26 started our days with breakfast, and our tired feet each evening with a glass of wine or single malt scotch at the bar with friendly bar staff. Perfect walking location as well since the elevated highway betwen the North End was buried underground. Beautiful evening strolls to Mike's Pastry for cannoli's. Aahh, wish we were still staying at the Millennium Bostonian Hotel and enjoying more of Boston. A definite do over.

Room Tip: Stayed on top floor 7th Room 710 with King Bed overlooking Quincy Market. Outside patio overlooking...

You can't get a better Boston location. Right next to Quincy Market, the Freedom Trail, the North End (Italian neighborhood), etc. Our room was a good size for Boston, had a beautiful view of the Leonard Zakim Bridge, Old North Church, and the Bunker Hill Monument, and was very clean and well decorated. We enjoyed late night drinks sitting outside in the hotel bar and then had a delicious breakfast in the hotel restaurant the following morning.

Room Tip: The rooms with the balconies overlooking Quincy Market are great but be careful, my sister's roo...

This is my 3rd stay at the Millenium. Hotels in Boston are not cheap and so when choosing, I base it on location and proximity to other things I want to see and do in the city. I am a "Bostonian" who moved to the outskirts of the city, so spending a weekend in Boston is a fun thing to do.

The location of the Millenium is adjacent to Fanueil Hall. Many of the rooms have a balcony which overlook Fanueil Hall Marketplace. By day this is a beautiful view and fun to people watch. Be warned at night.... it is very loud and raucous when the bars are letting out. My suggestion to the hotel is to install better soundproof glass. This did keep us awake from @ 1:30 - 3:30. There was a time we would have been part of the outside madness - but not anymore.

We had to change rooms 3 times. The staff was very accommodating with our situations. The first room was right after we checked in. When we walked into the room it REEKED of stale cigarette smoke. We later learned right below is a cigar bar and this was probably the cause. Our 2nd room was perfect - in the front of the hotel on the 5th floor. However, when we returned to the room from breakfast, the keys wouldn't work to the room. It was learned the battery mechanism in the electronic lock had died. While we waited for the situation to be rectified, we were offered a complimentary drink at North26 (the hotel's restaurant). Even though it was only 10:30 a.m., we took the offer! :-) The staff was very quick to accommodate us to another room on the 7th floor with the same beautiful view.

Aside from the room mishap and the outside noise at night, this is a wonderful hotel. I would stay here time and time again.

It should be noted there is an additional $45.00/night for parking. Every hotel in the city will charge this amount, but if you're not aware of it up front, you could be surprised at the cost.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for a scenic room in the front of the hotel. Beautiful view from the balcony.

Dear Recent Guest,

Thank you for taking time to share your experience and for selecting The Bostonian Hotel.

As the new general manager, I appreciate your comments/suggestions and will review with my team, so as to insure that future guests' stays are favorably impacted. Certainly we wish to improve and enhance our property and you have provided some wonderful insight.

Please let me know of any future travel plans back to Boston so that I might personally select an accommodation, with a view, on a high floor away from the active city night life.

Again, thank you,

Robert Rivers

My girlfriend and I took a quick weekend trip to Boston. I researched the Millennium and thought I would give it a shot. The first thing I noticed is how easy it is to find, right off the exit, clearly marked and easy access into the hotel. It is perfectly, and I do mean perfectly, situated to some key areas. Quincy market is right across the street and will certainly keep you entertained for a few hours. Across the road is the North End home to all the great Italian restaraunts and some cool bars. A short walk to the pier and down the street is the China town section of Boston. A very short and easy walk to many different areas. The hotel itself is very nice, staff is very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. The young lady at the front desk, Mary, was extremely nice, very accommodating and genuine. We arrived early so our room was not ready but she took my number and called promptly when it was ready. A little sweet talking got us a free room upgrade to a junior suite! The room was great, very clean, comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom with a large shower. I would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: The junior suite is very nice, a little larger than a regular room, has a fireplace and a nice bathr...

Dear Weekender,

We appreciate your online review and endorsement of The Bostonian Hotel!

As you noted, associates are empowered to create memories and I am proud of our team for recognizing your special occasion with an upgraded accommodation. This property has for 30 years recognized guests' special occasions and maintains an extensive list of clientele who return every to celebrate an anniversary or birthday.

Our location is spectacular and an easy jump-point to tour America's Walking City along the Freedom Trail or the new public gardens/parks which now reside where our highway system once towered.

Again, thank you for your comments and we hope we can again welcome you to Boston.

Gratefully,

Robert Rivers

Got a room on July 4th via priceline...we were upgraded to a junior suite since no double bed rooms were available. Staff was very accomadating and pleasant. Gabriel was very helpful with directions for a walk to the esplanade to watch the fireworks. The room overlooked fanuiel hall and was very clean and spacious. Enjoyed our stay....
