We recently visited Asheville and stayed at the Cedar Crest Inn for a week. The inn was centrally located to a number of the activities we enjoyed during our visit. It's very close to The Biltmore property, and a short walk to Biltmore Village. It was a short drive to the downtown area where there are plenty of great restaurants, art studios, and craft breweries. We were only 5-10 minute drives to the Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking or the French Broad River for standup paddle-boarding/rafting/tubing.
The staff at the Cedar Crest Inn were all very friendly and helpful. Not only were they able to accommodate our dietary needs, but we never had to remind them. We really enjoyed the delicious gourmet breakfasts each morning outside on the wrap-around porch overlooking the grounds of the property. It was also nice coming back to the inn late in the afternoon or evening and helping ourselves to the baked desserts left out for the guests.
Our room in the Inn was clean and decorated in Victorian period fashion. There are also two other outer buildings that are more contemporary.More
