We visited on a Sunday- arrived at 11am and returned to our car parked in the overflow lot 0.2 miles away on Georgetown Pike less than 45 minutes later. Our car window had been smashed in and diaper bag had been stolen which contained a wallet. They had attempted to break in another window and we could see at least three hits to the window, that didn’t work, so they walked around the car to try another in which they succeeded in breaking. The parking lot was nearly full when we arrived- people with children coming and going and in less than 40 min when we returned there was only one other car in the lot-no damage done to it. This happened in broad daylight, on a Sunday late morning in a lot full of people, less than 0.2 miles from the park. We could see our car nearly the entire walk into the park. Not what you’d expect in this area.
