The trail head is a few miles out of Moab, consult a guide book or local information for the location, it’s easy to find.
The hike isn’t so long and it’s possible to combine doing this in say a morning and another hike in the afternoon without needing a really early start.
There are some steeper sections on the trail and a couple of areas of exposed rock where I tend to feel a bit exposed to the drop-offs but nothing too scary, there’s a single climb which has foot-holds in the rock and a wire to pull yourself up so that’s the most strenuous part.
All worth it, as you round the corner you start to get to see the main arch with the other arch nearby.
Only when you get to the arch do you realise it’s huge size, take a wide angle lens to get it all in.
On our visit in early January we were probably lucky only 2 other visitors were around, it wouldn’t’ be the same with crowds.
