“Great arch, nice relatively easy hike…”

The trail head is a few miles out of Moab, consult a guide book or local information for the location, it’s easy to find.
The hike isn’t so long and it’s possible to combine doing this in say a morning and another hike in the afternoon without needing a really early start.
There are some steeper sections on the trail and a couple of areas of exposed rock where I tend to feel a bit exposed to the drop-offs but nothing too scary, there’s a single climb which has foot-holds in the rock and a wire to pull yourself up so that’s the most strenuous part.
All worth it, as you round the corner you start to get to see the main arch with the other arch nearby.
Only when you get to the arch do you realise it’s huge size, take a wide angle lens to get it all in.
On our visit in early January we were probably lucky only 2 other visitors were around, it wouldn’t’ be the same with crowds.

We loved this hike! We went early on a Saturday morning in January and had the place all to ourselves. My husband and I both agreed that this might be our favorite arch hike! It is so amazing! Don't forgot to try and hear your echo while there, we had never heard anything like it!

We would definitely hit this trail again. Breathtaking with the snow on the ground! Easy enough for kids to take off on their own.

We couldn't see the trail for all the snow that had fallen the night before. 10 inches, crazy! Corona was worth it, Bowtie was a plus on the way there.

This is akin to the hike to Delicate Arch in Arches NP (similar 1.5m RT length, similar arch, similar views on the way there, similar difficulty level) but there is no entrance fee and likely fewer visitors. Dogs allowed on the trail. Dont be intimidated by the 2 sections with cable lines and the one short ladder; they are helpful and not difficult.
