Bayfield has several options when deciding where to eat lunch. The Bayfield Inn restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere and the view adds to the experience. I would recommend the whitefish sandwich - one of the best I have eaten while in Bayfield. The wait staff was friendly and attentive to our needs.

Stayed over the weekend, great place to go without kids in tow. Friendly staff for the most part. Just wanted to write about an incident on the top "deck" bar. Went up to have lunch with the family, and my parents. The kids were exploring before we sat down to eat, and one of the I assume managers advised us "We can't be having this type of thing, you know, this is more of a bar than a play area." He was so rude about it that we left and had a nice lunch, with friendly staff across the street. I get it, I have worked in a bar before, you don't want kids running around. My issue was with the rudeness of the staff person. Never going back again, would recommend it to my friends without children. Hopefully he has no contact with guests with children anymore.

The service is a bit slow and the food is like any other place for breakfast but the view can not be matched!

I went to Bayfield Inn with a friend on his recommendation. I am a whitefish lover, so my problem was choice: fish and chips, or whitefish sandwich, or whitefish cobb salad. I went with the fish and chips and it was terrific. Big chunks of lightly battered whitefish, slaw and small potato wedges. I was impressed. Price is reasonable. You over look the harbor and are within walking distance of the Museum and various stores. The only problem was that Rittenhouse Ave, which is the main drag is completely torn up from store front to store front, so you have to plan your parking carefully and plan on doing some walking. Late start because of late Spring and supposed to be done by the 4th of July. I'd like to try Bayfield in for dinner in the future; quite a nice menu.I also want an opportunity to eat on the rooftop porch, so I will definitely be going back.
