We visited Ethel's last week and sat at the small, cozy bar and ate our meal there. That gave us a chance to chat with Mike, one of the owners. Salads are super fresh, mac and cheese was a hit as was the steak, asparagus and roasted potatoes that my dining companion had. Dessert was locally made cheesecake.

We ate dinner here while on vacation. I had a grilled whitefish meal that was fresh and tasty. The location itself isn't as appealing as some area restaursnts as it is away from the water without a view but the décor inside is warm and inviting.

I ordered the special, which was the lobster and shrimp stuffed shells with a vodka cream sauce. It tasted as good as it sounds. My husband ordered the surf and turf, whitefish and steak with asparagus and potatoes and he inhaled it, saying it was the "best meal he's ever had". The service was wonderful; it took a bit to get our food but the establishment was very busy. It appeared all hands were on deck and that it's a family-run business because pleasant, friendly kids were rushing to fill water glasses and clear tables. Ethel's adds to Bayfield's incredible small-town, nautical ambiance. We LOVE this town and will be back, only next time we're not just coming for the day, we're staying a while.

Ambience lovely and warm - the place smelled great !
I had their pasta with mushroom pesto and practically licked the plate.
We heard their whitefish chowder was awesome, but they were out when we got there - so get there early.

No visit to Bayfield is complete without a visit to Ethel's for pizza. Freindly staff and a great menu.
