There are so many tourists going and you could hit somebody whenever you want to swim. The water is clear but there are not much to see.
i go scuba diving and snorkeling both. Both are great. But scuba diving at grotto is quiet exhausting and needs for u to be experienced.
It's good to see the blue light reflected from the Blue Cave. The water is cool enough to cool you down from the hot weather. But this is not a spot you would stay for long. You will get bored from this scene very soon.
Against my better judgment they talked me into this situation. One hundred steps down and the place was packed with tourists standing on the big rock I presumed that I would have jumped off, into the snorkeling area. The people were like sea lions clinging to their perches on the rock with nowhere to move. Did I want to join them? I don't think so. I will return at 7 AM as recommended by my local advisor.
Th Grotto is probably most special for those who will dive or snorkel there. I did neither just walked down to see the place. Still, I enjoyed that. It's a fairly unique location. The stairs are steep, but they weren't too bad for me. Some others seemed to be struggling--especially if they had air tanks on their backs.
One of the better steaks on Saipan. The crew go over the top in creating veggie dishes for me as well. Pizzza is really good and the atmosphere is quaint.
