This ice cream is amazing and their flavours are quite different to the flavours you usually get. For example, I got malted vanilla with peanut brittle. Yum.

This is next to the Diller playground in a large city park. The workers offered free samples and the flavors are seasonal. The ice cream is soft and feels like a cream base with flavors added. The salted ice cream tasted burnt with no salt evident. The lime was tart and got more as you consumed it. Overall no line on a beautiful Sunday afternoon but not sure I would rush to go back. The park was great though so probably a great close by treat.

As an out of towner who visits San Francisco about once a year, this place is still a reprieve from afternoon sun. Yes; there is a line on a beautiful afternoon, the wait and anticipation for the most flavored homemade ice cream was enough to draw us to this place every year. The toasted banana is heavenly, as with its honey lavender ice cream and salted caramel. Try it for your self!

Bi rite has two locations: one in the mission (the original) and one on Divisadero. The ice cream place in the mission is down the block from the market. In NoPa they are combined.
Bi rite has wonderful premise salads (kale with greed goddess!) and delicious grab and go food. The produce and flowers are beautiful, and the ice cream is delicious. Their pot de creme in the refrigerator case is amazing. It’s all just super duper expensive. The prices are, for the most part, outrageous.
That said, the staff there is helpful and it’s a great spot to get snacks and picnic in Alamo Square Park or Dolores Park.
