Close to Fishermans Wharf and the terminus of the cable car line. Plus, there is free parking, which in this city can cost you up to $50 a night. The Hotel, really a motel, serves it's purpose....a place to sleep. It's old, but comfortable and has decent Free wifi and cable TV. No restaurant, but who would want to eat at a motel in S.F? There is a great diner for breakfast just 2 blocks away. It's a good value.

Great location, parking and wifi...rooms fairly clean but very dated. Old style box TV with cable box and universal remote that didn't work. Very friendly staff...and helpful. First room was right on the street, very noisy and had been smoked in...no problem with finding us another room.

San Francisco is an expensive city...no matter where you go or stay...this is no exception. Used Booking.com and it was still over $200/night. Not a great value, but nothing else was either.

Room Tip: Try to get a room toward the back of the hotel, less street noise.

This hotel is a few blocks from the wharf, so easy to walk there. It is on Hwy 101 or Lombard ST, so easy to find. The place is old, but it was kept very clean. There was a loud noise off and on all night, that my husband finally figured out was the elevator. We were at the far end of the hotel from the elevator. The bed was incredibly HARD. If you can't sleep on a cement floor hard bed, you don't want to stay here. Neither my husband, nor I got any sleep and were in pain lying on the bed. If you like hard beds, this is the place for you. They say they offer breakfast, but it was never offered, nor was there a place to get it.

Room Tip: Make sure you like hard beds and can handle noise.

This was a good hotel for the price. Parking is hard to come by in SF and they had free parking. The room was no frills, but the location was excellent and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful telling us where to go and what transportation to take. This is about 3/4 of a mile to the wharfs and everything is within walking distance. The neighborhood is decent for a big city and never saw any shady folks around the Lombard area. You will need to make breakfast arrangements as they don't offer breakfast at the hotel. I would definitely stay here agin if I go back.

Don't be put off by how this place looks from the outside. We stayed here 3 nights and could have stayed longer if we didn't have to move on. Our delightful stay started as soon as we walked into reception. The staff are just so lovely and helpful. Our room had plenty of space for a family of 4 to move around. Loved the lay out of the room. Yes it may be a bit dated, but the beds were comfortable and it was nice and clean. What more do you really need. Location of this place is excellent. Close to transport and tourist attractions such as Fisherman's Wharf. Across the road is a little convenience store which was very handy. They offer off street parking and the best thing of all for a travelling family, was they had a washer and dryer. Would I stay here again. ABSOLUTLY. I don't think I would even bother looking at different locations. The price is reasonable considering where the location of this hotel is.

Room Tip: To make this place 100% perfect, they would need to have security boxes in the rooms.
