Description: The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, invites you to experience its signature restaurant, Parallel 37, which features globally-inspired California cuisine made with hyper-seasonal ingredients found only at this geographic location. The restaurant offers a menu organized by vegetable, meat and seafood, allowing your tastebuds or our servers to create a satisfying and unique dining experience. Chef Michael Rotondo's daily-changing eight-course tasting menu is an excellent way to experience the chef's signature and most popular dishes. Along with wines from Napa and Sonoma, a lively bar and lounge offers guests a "kitchen to the cocktail" mixology program by Camber Lay, named "Bar Star" by the San Francisco Chronicle.

Parallel 37 is located in the Ritz-Carlton. The setting is beautiful, and the food and service is terrific. Prices are a bit high, like many hotel restaurants, though this is well worth it.

We ate here three times during our stay at the RC. We had two dinners and one breakfast and each one was a memorable experience. Part of what stands out the most was how in those three meals the staff already knew what our kids liked (extra Parmesan and chamomile tea with honey and cream) and whether the wine we had with a meal was available for our next dinner. During our second dinner, there was an issue with our entrees and how long it took to get them to us. The restaurant manager (without us saying anything) took off several items and made sure we were entirely satisfied with our meal. We commented several times how we would absolutely come back to the hotel (for all the normal RC reasons) but mainly because we loved Parallel 37!

I was here with my wife to celebrate her birthday. The environment is very relaxing and quiet which is very hard to find in most of the SF restaurants now. We order the chef tasting menu. The chef tasting menu do not have a menu. When you order it, the chef will just cook whatever that comes in his mind. According to the server, if multiple tables ordered chef's menu, tables might end up with different course which I find pretty interesting and unique. We were server with 5 course and were very well fed. The service was good. Strongly recommend this restaurant for various occasions.

While staying at the Ritz Carlton, we had the opportunity to have dinner and breakfast at Parallel 37.
The service was 5-star on both occasions.
The presentation and food was wonderful.
The bread basket they served at dinner was delicious with a variety of fresh baked goods.
I had ordered the butternut squash soup that was served in a carved out loaf of sourdough bread. The soup was poured into the bowl table-side!
Everyone enjoyed their meal which ranged from roasted organic chicken to lamb and rib-eye steak.

Breakfast was equally as good with the usual offerings of egg dishes, fresh fruit, French toast, etc.
Although it was a bit pricey, it’s what you would expect at a fine dining establishment.

This is the only restaurant at the San Francisco Ritz Carlton on Stockton Street.

Having said that, the restaurant is lovely with several separate areas for smaller groups if needed.

Although we only had breakfast, the food though pricey was delicious. One of us wanted pancakes which were not on the menu. No problem though. The pancakes were really tasty and came with fresh blueberries and pastry cream just in case.

The San Francisco breakfast special was expensive at $37 but came with juice, coffee, eggs, choice of breakfast meat, potatoes and side of fresh fruit as well as sour dough toast. Really worth it!
