This is an experience into history and surrounding beauty that is like nothing else. The charming old former military officer's quarters building is so quaint and comfy like a bed and breakfast and yet all of the special touches of a boutique hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly helpful and courteous. They made our stay the best that it could be. I used to live in the Presidio so this was a treat to come up back up from SoCal for a stay here.
Pros:
* natural hikes and walking paths abound with unique views of the Golden Gate Bridge (walkable from the hotel !) out of your windows- fresh ocean air mists outside while the red brick and fires places remind you of places of an old world.
* inside Presidio : Stunning hiking and casual walking trails all over abound accessible right from the hotel. There is the Disney museum right next door and even a quaint bowling alley !
Close by: the Palace of the fine arts, Marina Bars restaurants, beach walks, the best bar in SF - the Final Final Bar. Also, Sausalito is a 10 min hop across the bridge.
