My husband and I had the pleasure of spending three nights at this wonderful Inn. The owners made our stay memorable with additions such as robes, afternoon goodies and individual flashlights on the nightstands. The Inn itself is a nineteenth century home decorated in a gracious "Williamsburg" style. We spent two nights in the Tavern Suite, which is located toward the rear of the house on the first floor behind the stairway to the second floor. Quiet, private, easy to get moved in and out, plus easy access to the dining room for coffee at odd hours. Our third night was spent in the Heritage room, which is also part of the original house, has a private porch, and is accessed from the parking lot. Spacious, easy moving in and out, again with the same attention to detail as we enjoyed in the Tavern Suite. Breakfast itself is an event and alone worth many return visits. Served individually, the plates and surroundings are truly five-star. Your only regret will be that you cannot stay longer.

If you like to stay away from the crowded Bar Harbor town and within short driving distance, this is the place. we had a nice en-suite room with easy access to the parlor and dining area. Elegant breakfast, goodies in the afternoon and cold/hot beverages available all day. Jim and Anna are great hosts and could not be nicer. The only drawback is it's situated next to the local road and no easy walking to parks or shops.

My wife and I visited Bar Harbor for our first time. Staying at the Coach Stop Inn was absolutely amazing, The location was close to town and a very quaint / quiet, Jim and Anna were very friendly and were very helpful in suggesting sites to see and places to eat. Breakfast and afternoon cookies were the best of our entire trip. We stayed in the Heritage room which had a separate entrance and was charming. We loved Anna's great sense of humor!! Would definitely recommend the Coach Stop Inn to anyone visiting Bar Harbor.

If you're looking for:
1-Place outside of town
2-Quiet, clean (my wife doesnt go anywhere that's not clean), quaint
3-Excellent breakfasts
4-Amazing Inn Keepers and above quality service
My wife and I stayed here for our 5 year anniversary. We picked this place because of the Inn Keepers even prior to meeting them. We contacted 2 other B&B's as well as this one and after we expressed it was our anniversary they were the only ones who were excited about that and willing to go the extra mile to make the trip enjoyable. We booked the Tavern Suite for 4 nights 6 months prior to our trip.
Jim and Anna were prompt and detailed with their responses to my questions prior to our stay.
Upon arrival they were excited to see us and show us around the Inn (amazing history and stories to their place). They made sure that there was a small surprise in our room for our celebration.
They are extremely knowledgeable about the area. They also have resources at the Inn about where to go, what to do, etc.
Highly recommended place to stay. My wife is already planning a trip back.

Very nice place with excellent breakfasts and very pleasant owners. Highly recommended. Very clean with many amenities. Close to Bar Harbor and Acadia Park. Only six or seven rooms, so you need to book early.
