Dinner there last night. Normally open to public for breakfast and lunch. But for groups, by arrangement, in evenings. Excellent.

Our party of 6 stopped for a later lunch at 1pm. Had the very best ahi burger with a delicious salad. Varied, though somewhat limited menu, but all the lunches were very good. Cost was very affordable for the high quality of food.

Inside resembles a hospital canteen (maybe it is?) or old people's home, not that there's anything wrong with that but I wish I'd known so I didn't get disappointed. Food was not very interesting but okay considering the price. You can pay with credit card now. You should come for the beautiful views from the balcony, but for me it was a bit too institutional, like a cafeteria in an old people's home, which was not what I expected not would come back for. Staff was friendly though and if you're in the area it's not the worst place to have lunch.

Our friend works at Queens Hospital in Honolulu and knew about this place which is located on the property of the new hospital extension. It is very nice, casual not fancy. The views are fantastic. You order at the window and they call your name. I was hoping to get the catch of the day, but it was already sold out. So we had the Huli Huli Chicken instead. A nice Hawaiian sized portion of very good chicken, rice and salad so fresh it had to be picked that morning! All for like $8.95!!! In Hawaii! With a view! If you go you might want to check out the Naked Cow Dairy which is way back just off the same road about 10 minutes away. Fantastic butter and cheese.
